Need To Know !

Our School is a ResourceSmart School

Our school is taking action to become more environmentally sustainable through a Victorian Government initiative called ResourceSmart Schools.

ResourceSmart Schools is an award-winning Victorian Government program that assists our school to embed sustainability in everything we do. Our school is supported through consultancy and professional development from CERES, to minimise waste, save energy and water, promote biodiversity and take action on climate change to benefit our school and community.

We also want to involve students, families and other members of our school and local community.

We are working with Emmanuelle Deloménède from CERES Community Environment Park on the actions of the core module.

This year, we are aiming to monitor our resources use by using a free website called ResourceSmart Online and we are including sustainability in our curriculum.

We can’t wait to contribute to a sustainable future for all.

SRC community support event this term:

We are collecting toys and games for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre to distribute to families in need.

Used toys and games can be donated, but they must be clean and unbroken.

I realise the SRC leaders mentioned at assembly that clothes could be donated. One of my friends is volunteering for a group that supports Bangladeshi refugees and they are in need of clean, undamaged clothing.

Whilst families are welcome to donate clothing, our main priority is the collection of toys and games.

Thankyou for your support.
